Hints to become Tech Savvy
- Don't worry...you can always edit undo
- Not every site is for every person
- Don't marry any one technology
- Keep a little black book of web addresses & corresponding log in information
- Let the students teach the teacher (it's ok if the kids are better at this than we are)
- Always check the website at school to ensure it's not blocked before writing it in your lesson plan book (also check it with a student log in)
- It's ok to tell a student "I don't know" when it comes to technology...we are all learning this together!
- Save often

Technology Classroom Management Tips
- Ground rule option...when the teacher is talking take your hands off the keyboard
- If using laptops bend down the screen when the teacher is talking or when using desktops have students power off the monitor
- Be walking around constantly if a software tool such as Lanschool isn't available
- Take on the "Twister" mentality Sure; behavior things will and can occur but is the learning worth the risk?
